About
Hi, I'm Marissa — an artist, educator, and advocate whose love of illustration is rooted in community, identity, and the joy of creative expression.
A graduate of Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art (Spring 2021), Marissa is a kids' exploratory arts instructor with six years of combined experience teaching workshops at Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center and Perkins Center for the Arts.
Marissa is deeply invested in helping youth express themselves through art — especially within the LGBTQ+ community. She completed her Master's in Arts Administration in Summer 2025, with a goal of one day establishing and managing an LGBTQIA+ Arts non-profit that gives youth and adults a safe space to explore their identities. In the meantime, she continues to work in arts education and community outreach, drawing on experiences from Perkins Center and Wheaton Arts.
